Resign if any shame or honour is left – CTSU tells Minister of Education
Bungling of examinations and distortion of examination results has continued throughout the period under the present Minister of Education and as a result students have lost their confidence in government examinations states Ceylon Teacher Services Union (CTSU). It points out that the quality of the results too is of substandard due to the muddling up of examinations. The leaking of question papers has become a public secret under this government and majority of the people believe such sordid acts take place with the knowledge of the government, the Minister of Education and education authorities. As such, the leaking of Grade Five Scholarship examination was willfully concealed by the government and the Minister of Education accuses CTSU. The leaking of the GCE O/L Science question paper too indicates the disability of the Minister of Education and the government and the utter disregard for education points out CTSU and states the Minister of Education should immediately resign if he has any shame or honour left.
