Another massive protest of the nation-wide campaign organized by the Teacher-Principal Trade Union Alliance happened on 4th April 2024 in Kurunegala town. Thousands attended demanding the settlement of the remaining 2/3 of the salary anomally, an end to collecting funds from parents,
a subsidy for stationery items for students and faster promotions for teachers and principals.
